Senior Prom

Hey There!
What a crazy month it has been! Being back to work and with the athletic booster club, my life has been so busy! I am waiting for a scrappy weekend, lol! But that maybe awhile yet. So I will just continue scrapping when I have a few spare minutes.
I managed to get a few layouts done over Labor Day weekend and am just now sharing them.
I played with the Creative Embellishment September challenge and sketch #134 over at Sketch-N-Scrap. I used Paper House papers for this layout:

I used the circle stamp from Creative Embellishments and stamped with black Stazon ink. Then I added some watercolors. I used a brown Sharpie to color the tree and then added a flair from Creative Embellishments:

I used a few more pieces from Creative Embellishments colored with Sharpies. I punched some circles and added some stitching:

I also added a star shaped confetti. I used papers from the Noir Collection and One Big Happy Family:

Here is the Creative Embellishment photo inspiration:

I was inspired by the orange and black.

Here's the sketch I used:

Thanks for stopping by and I will be sharing another layout tomorrow.

I created a really simple and fast card by using a Simple Stories 3x4 card, a piece of cardstock and added some stitching:

Now, isn't that simple?!

Art Class

Hello and happy Friday!
Are you looking for some challenges to play along with?
Creative Inspiration is having their monthly mini crop and it starts today!
We are going back to school! My subject that I created a challenge for was my fav in high school- art class! My challenge is to use some paint, any kind, on your project.
I used Dear Lizzy Lovely Day, Creative Embellishments chipboard and wood veneer and watercolors to create this page:

I did fussy cut a frame from Simple Stories and added a diecut, chipboard and puffy sticker:

I added a punched border and some stitching here along with a Creative Embellishment wood veneer. I love that"less worry, more love" diecut. I added a star chipboard piece in the middle:

I love this star frame from Creative Embellishments. I backed it with patterned paper using ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever. I fussy cut the camera from one of the papers. I cut my sun on my Cameo and stitched it:

Another diecut, chipboard and puffy sticker:

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Hey there!
Hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
I am sad to say that I am headed back to work today after having most of the summer off. It went by way too fast!
I played in my scrappy room yesterday and combined a few challenges:
Rochelle Spear's Back to School challenge.
Grand Diva's Creative Corner sketch challenge and
Scrap Our Stash tic tac toe challenge.
I was looking for a school photo to scrap for this page when I came across this photo of Sierra from preschool that I hadn't scrapped yet. She was 5 years old in the photo and now she is almost 20!
Any who, I used Prima papers and Creative Embellishments nested stars and a wood veneer heart.

I cut strips of the papers and layered them behind my photo. I also added a piece of torn washi tape. I added a dictionary paper 2x3 paper, a tag, a ticket and a wood veneer piece with October Afternoon washi tape with the number 5:

I stitched through the paper strips and added a few star chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments. I added some watercolor to my background. I added a wood veneer globe to the lower right corner of my photo:

Here are the challenges I used:

I used grid paper, ruler, globe, staples and paint.

I used dictionary paper, ruler and a few washi tape arrows.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Come On In!!!

Hey there! Happy Labor Day!
Do you have any fun plans?
Today I am sharing a super fun page I created for the sketch challenge reveal today over at Creative Inspiration.
There is a long story behind this photo and I shared most of it on the tag behind the photo.
I used Fancy Pants Attwell from my stash along with some old Basic Grey alphas:

I added a circle cut file from the Silhouette store, cut on my Cameo and stitched it in place.

I added a piece of patterned paper behind my photo and also added a torn strip of washi tape. I added a few stickers from my stash along with some puffy stickers from the Attwell collection:

More puffy stickers and a few more stickers. I love that turquoise "Laugh" sticker and thought it was perfect for this page:

Here is the sketch:

Hope you find some scrappy time and play along with us over there!
Have a great day!

Cheers to You!

There's a new challenge up at Cards In Envy today: Cheers to You! Create a congratulation or celebration card.
I used Lawn Fawn Plaid Paper pad, their stamps & matching dies along with ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever and Embellie Gellie for this fun card:

The fine tip cap on the Best Glue Ever was perfect for adding my "Congrats" sentiment. It allows you to add a little glue at a time and create a thin line. The Embellie Gellie allows you  to place sequins or other small embellishment with ease.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Hey there!
Hope you are having an awesome Labor Day weekend!
Thought I would post the layout I created this morning for a new challenge blog- Rubber Buggy. Their challenge was a sketch challenge.
I used Shimelle Little By Little for this fun family pic Sierra took:

I added some watercolor to my background and then layered some papers behind my pic. I fussy cut the circles from one of the papers and then used ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever to attach them:

I used the bear sticker from the sticker book and popped him up with foam tape. I used old alphas from my stash. The large navy ones are from Fancy Pants and the small circle ones I believe are from Authentique:

I fussy cut the clouds from a papers as well and then added the sun sticker. I also added a few word stickers from Authentique. I love mixing old stuff in with my new stuff. That's a great way to use some stash! I also added some machine stitching.

I used mostly papers from the 6x6 paper pad with the exception of the paper I used for the upper and left side.

Here is the sketch I used:

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

80th Birthday Party

Hello and happy September!
Where did August go? It just flew by along with the rest of summer.
I am sharing a layout I created today using the September 1st sketch at Stuck?! Sketches. I used from my stash for this layout- Simple Stories papers and Fancy Pants acrylic flowers:

I added watercolor to my background cardstock and then added strips of paper and washi tape. I added some machine stitching to each strip:

I fussy cut the balloons and "Happy" banner from patterned paper and added a sticker and an acrylic flower with a brad:

My title consists of stickers and fussy cutting. I used an Amy tangerine stamp here also:

Here is Laura's sketch:

I also used this layout for my Birthday Bash challenge going on at Creative Inspiration. My challenge is to use balloons on your project.
This was such a fun sketch to work with and a fun page to create!
Hope you will play along with us this month!
